Sappho's Games
Sappho of Lesbos wrote lyric poetry in the seventh century
B.C. celebrating, among other things, love not restricted to the male-female
variety. Art Gone Postal celebrates Sapphic family values with this Artistamp
print of female athletes participating in Olympic events unencumbered by
lycra or spandex. Shown here is the top half of the Sappho's Games print
featuring an all female cast of characters working up a sweat. The image
seen below represents half of the Sappho's Games Print. |
