At the Post Office
Q: Are these real postage stamps?
A: No. These prints are an art form that people collect
and display for their own pleasure. Some folks also enjoy gluing separate
stamps on special letters to friends.
Q: Are they legal?
A: Yes, but they are not a legal substitute for real postage.
If you glue one of the bonus artistamps that come with each print
on a letter, make sure to use a matching real stamp too. The Feds aren't
known for their sense of humor.
Q: What do the people who work at the Post Office think
about Art Gone Postal?
A: They really get a kick out of it. Three times now I've been asked
to exhibit my Artistamp Prints in the main post office in St. Petersburg,
Florida. They did ask me not to display the prints containing nudity, but
they seemed to appreciate the political and social satire. Except for maybe
my Snail Mail print.
