Specifications
Q: How many stamps are there on each print?
A: The number of stamps varies from print to print. For
example, Naked Games is made up of 20 artistamps, while the Marilyn Nixon
print has 48. To determine the number of individual stamps on a print check
the information below the image on each individual web page.
Q: Are these stamps gummed?
A: No. You can use a glue stick to attach the bonus artistamps that come with each print on letters to friends.
Q: Are these stamps archival?
A:I use acid neutral paper and ship each print in a clear archival sleeve using clear archival photo corners. Nevertheless my stamps are not archival in the fine-art sense, they are ephemeral.
Q: Are these prints numbered?
A: No.
Q: Why not?
A: Historically prints were numbered because the old printing
methods caused the stone, block or printing plate to degrade with each successive
print. Accordingly the prints made first and given the lowest numbers would
usually be superior to prints made later in the edition. Nowadays, with
modern technology, there is no degradation between the first print and the
last and no need to number prints.
Q: How big is each print?
A: The outside dimensions of my prints vary from title to title. The size of each print can be found in the information below the image on each individual web page.
